Our services
Occupational therapy, assessment and coaching.
Simple Roots Therapy provides Occupational Therapy and assessments, coaching and group programs throughout Sydney for paediatric, adolescent and adult populations.
What is occupational therapy?
Occupational therapy is a registered health profession concerned with function — what an individual truly does across a day, and what makes that harder or easier. “Occupation” does not mean a job. It means any activity that occupies our time: getting up, getting dressed, playing, learning, working, connecting, resting and sleeping.
An occupational therapist looks at the person, the task and the environment together, because difficulty usually sits in the fit between them rather than in the person alone.
Paediatric services
Ages 2–12 years, with or without a formal diagnosis.
True progress happens at home! Crystal strongly believes paediatric therapy works best as a partnership with carers. That means, your paediatric therapy will be child-led, play-based and relationship-centric. It may also include home and school visits and intervention.
Beyond engaging directly with your child, Crystal coaches parents and caregivers to deeply understand and support their child’s unique needs. This is important to her — she believes therapy should empower you to bring strategies out of short weekly sessions and into the everyday, where true life happens. This ensures meaningful, long-lasting progress, rather than relying solely on clinic visits that can leave your child and family dependent.

Adult and adolescent services
Understanding why we choose what we do turns daily habits into life-changing transformation.
When working with adults and adolescents, Crystal takes a coaching approach. She has a special interest in habit formation and executive functioning (planning, initiating, organising and executing tasks). Together, you’ll be supported to move beyond procrastination and unintentional dis-organisation through metacognition, skills building and structural change within your home and work environment.
Working in both private, corporate and therapeutic settings, she helps you step back and take a metacognitive look at your habits, mindset and environments. Together you will build strategies, action plans and accountability systems to create the change you are after.
This self-determined holistic approach bridges the gap between intention and action. You’ll be guided to create practical strategies that integrate into your lifestyle for clear goal attainment and a truer sense of self.
