Occupational therapy & coaching · Sydney

Simple roots for a fulfilling life.

Occupational Therapy and coaching that’s holistic, paced and empowering for children, adolescents and adults in Sydney.

What we believe

Simple Roots Therapy is dedicated to a world of intentional, inspired and conscious beings, families and communities. We believe every individual deserves to live life as their fullest, brightest and most confident selves.

Through knowing our own minds and body, creating a supportive physical environment, and building upon meaningful relationships, we can establish the foundational roots needed for a fulfilling and harmonious life.

We believe that as we progress through the human life span;

  • Children deserve to be empowered to learn, play, and explore the world and themselves.
  • Families deserve to deeply understand their children, so we can create happy, harmonious and present homes that extend into communities.
  • Adolescents deserve to self-inquire, explore new interests and develop self-confidence and the skills to see visions and goals through.
  • Adults deserve to have the tools, strategies and accountability partners to stay dedicated and motivated in expressing their greatest potential.

The three simple roots

The three simple roots Three equal overlapping circles — Self, meaning mind and body; Environment, meaning space and routine; and Others, meaning relationships — meeting at a shared centre labelled occupation, or meaningful activity. Self holds a seated figure drawn from a fingerprint, Environment a sapling, and Others two figures side by side. Self Mind and body Environment Space and routine Others Relationships Occupation Meaningful activity

Self

Knowing your own mind and body — attention, regulation, sensory needs and the physical skills a day asks for.

Environment

The spaces you live and work in, and the routines that run through them. A supportive physical, social and cultural environment is foundational for any activity.

Others

Meaningful, fulfilling relationships — family, carers, educators and community — and the support they can offer when they understand what helps.
